Would like some orc and monk lore please

  1. Hey I am new to the game and planned on making an orc monk. What little I have learned about orcs, is that they have always been aggressive invaders. So they are generally seen with malice from most races. I was wondering what the lore is behind monks as well, since I know zero about them.
  2. Well currently, there is not any real lore around the class of the Monk. There is lore behiind DKs, Druids, Rangers and Necromancers but I have not really seen anything descriptive in what they really are. Hopefully they make that part of the "AA" system when they finally do release it.

This will bring flavor to the game I think.
  3. I strongly reccomend you go to Martok, head to the North-East end of the island, you will find a cave with a quest npc in front of it. Do that quest. This is probably one of the best bits of lore about Orcs.
Martok was my favorite starting zone...*sigh*.

Sorry for the off-topic post, but I was wondering if there was any recent documentation about the upcoming AA system? I've been looking around and I can't seem to find any details on it.
In any case, I'm just glad to see that it's back in the pipeline again.
  5. Actually there is quite a bit of lore regarding Monks especially in Kojan and he adjacent zones to Tanvu. Its closely tied in to the lore regarding Jin. Some cool title to get from doing that questline, gives you the Lao'Jin Knight title. Theres also a semi-secret way of getting the Ra'jin title I have heard. Lao'Jin = Good side Ra'jin = Dark side.

Would you have any idea how I can get the Ra'jin title? I have always liked the idea of an evil monk since EQ1 days with my iksar.

Grimsea Watch is the original orc / goblin newbie area. The lore there is great. I waited until I made 10 and then went there with my mount and did all the quests, even the ones that had grayed out for me. I really enjoyed it.

Not sure really, the Lao'Jin part starts in a small house just outside the Ra'Jin fortress, I have seen the Ra'Jin title but never aquired it for myself since I always enjoyed the Lao'Jin questline. But I suspect its a matter of faction? Might have to do with the Grandmaster or something no idea tbh.
  9. It was the same quest. For some reason the option to choose Rai'jin has been romoved. I don't know why, wish I did.
