I'm posting on behalf of my friend. He just tried to install Vanguard from the new website. He downloaded the Vanguard Launcher exe and installed the game. Now whenever he tries to launch Vanguard it comes up with a black box with the SOE logo in it (which I get too) but instead of then going to the Vanguard launcher, it becomes black and stays black. Any info on this?

Really, TSR Alex? how about telling him that the SERVER IS DOWN for now and maybe that's his connection issue. Last updated note is servers should come up at 6pm Pacific time. Hope your friend enjoys the game as much as I do, Signus!
I don't believe it has anything to do with the server as I, and a few other friends, have been able to log in and start downloading the client. Anyway, I think I can help narrow down the problem. On my own machine when I click the launcher icon it comes up with the black box and SoE logo, then goes to a user login screen. This is the same login screen I've been using for the last few weeks. But then the whole program flashes, goes black, and when it comes back it shows the new launcher, starts downloading the game, and all that jazz. My friend gets the old login screen briefly, the black flash, then nothing. No new login screen. I'll send a support ticket as soon as possible, but as of now the web page appears to be down.
