Thanks for taking the time to post Brad, it is appreciated.
Looking forward to seeing what else you guys have planned for end game after the F2P launches.

How do we know this the REAL Brad? Could be Sil with an impersonation, that crafty bugger!!!
In all seriousness, thanks for posting, was beginning to worry they had deleted your account!

Since his post count is "1", apparently they did.
  5. Sorry I cant SS it, but if you click the link uptop that says "Member Listing" and type in Aradune in the search, it will yeild the following results:

So his old account is still there, and Red at that, so my guess is he wanted a fresh start with a new forum account perhaps. Also note he only ever made 2 posts under his former account, so I guess we can take that as he doesnt post on forums much.
  6. Wow. WB, Brad. Ok, this has got me watching Vanguard again now. All I can say is "What elephant?"
  7. Wow. It's odd that I resubbed before this news came out. I heard the game had gotten much better over time. And I've found it has. I really like what I'm seeing now.
I was an original sub, and tested, got the collector's edition, the whole nine yards. I won't lie, I was pretty upset when VG wasn't what I'd hoped for after launch. I also noticed SOE took a while to make this announcement.
Welcome back, since you were the guy with the dream. Second chances are rare. It seems you've been doing well thus far. Some of us are wary, but we're in your corner. Continue to work hard. Here's to hoping you won't let us or yourself down again.
  8. Wow Brad/Aradune welcome back!! What a good feeling to have you back with us, looking forward to the things you and the whole Vanguard team will bring us!
    Greetings,
    Stamperd Greatlove
  9. Wow...bored late at night and just found this.
    I haven't visited Telon in a few years....but if Brad's back, so am I!
  10. Welcome back Brad. As a gamer who shares some of your "vision" of design and what could be, I'm happy to see you on board with this. I also hope that bodes well for the design of EQ next.
  11. Welcome back!
Still lacking words. I remember the moment in beta when you gave me a small boat as a present, asking how everything goes and what bugs I encountered so far...
When I think about it... even after these years of leaving VG behind - it IS still the best MMO. I hope you can make this public ;-)
    Kind regards from Germany

  12. I just heard Brad is back. I didn't believe it.
@Brad - I played EQ since the launch of Kunark and then continued for 5 years later. I then played EQ2 until finally I got in the VG beta. I played for a year after launch and ran one of the most powerful guilds are on server. However population hemoraged and my guild eventually died with no end game content and no new player blood.
I'm not an emotional person. Most would call me cold. But your games have always brought on some sort of emotional connection with them and with your passion. You're infectious, in a good way.
    1) The "WoW" model appears to be dying to me. We see this with Star Wars and other new released games. A reinvention of many systems has been innovated in Guild Wars 2. I personally suspect it to be the next big thing. What do you think of their new systems and does this inspire you to re-imagine any current Vanguard game mechanics. Is it even feasable to do with the existing game and your team resources?

    2) I have grown a great distaste for SOE and it's primarily because they keep their customers in the dark. You're moving towards F2P and many people seem upset about the model. The undisputed king at F2P right now is Riot Games. It's a true Free to Play system and not a Pay to Win system like most of SOE's and other companies models. Also Riot is very active in their community. They brave the trolls, they communicate and joke around and we see the results in frequent 2 week cycle patches. It's clearly working. Do SOE's policies prevent Vanguard in following similar behaviour?

    Thank you.
  13. This is truly fantastic news! Welcome back! I do hope you'll be involved in the lore and maybe you could even twist some arms to get Bill Trost and Tony Garcia in the company again!
    *dreams a happy dream*
  14. Mmm thought I had posted in here a while back, but.. consider me floored.
  15. Im begining to wonder if hes still with us, he hasn't logged on the forums in almost a month....

He is probably curled up in the fetal position, in a corner somewhere watching all these unnecessary changes being made.
  17. Aradune is still stinky. This is mostly because he doesn't remember grouping with me and Anglatchel in Ice Crag in 1994.
  18. Any news about Brad - was cool that he did the quick - "hello world message" - but nothing since then? Odd no?
  19. Maybe they have him working on eqnext.
