Hey all. I bought this game a long time ago. I still have my collectors edition box set! This was one of those games that I was really excited about and felt screwed over after a couple of months. I looked into it a couple of years ago to see if things had changed and I think I found that it went away awhile back. Tonight to my surprise I stumbled on a link that showed me Vanguard was back! Downloading now and going to give it another try. Here's hoping for an improvement! Any active guilds looking for noobs to help out? Hope to see you all in game! Mal
Hey there, Malanthius, first off, welcome back! There are a number of guilds looking for players from casual to raiding to role-play (which my opinion is the best kind of guild! ) If you check the social window (hit O) and then check the Guilds LFM tab, you can sort the guilds recruiting by a number of preferences. Good luck in your search and if you are in need of assistance, please feel free to give me a shout!
Thank you both! I did get in last night and found 2 of my old characters still there! A level 20 Sorcerer and a level 19 Ranger. I had forgotten so much I just created a new Dwarf Cleric. Game seems to run smooth. I did run into what I think was a bug on one of the quest in the Dawn Island starter area. Hopefully that's the exception to the rule. I also did see several people in the starter area leveling up along with myself. I think I will run more or less solo for a couple of days to get the hang of things before burdening a guild with too many noobie questions. But my ultimate goal will to get into a guild and try some of the raiding. Thank you for your offers to help. You may just get a wisper from old Malanthius! Mal
Welcome Back! Don't be afraid to ask questions in the regional chat. There are many vets playing on alts who may be able to answer your questions. There are a few newbie friendly guilds out there. Enjoy the adventure that is Vanguard.
