Cannot get past the launcher.

  1. After clicking the launcher, it boots up scanning, saying loading graphics, then it looks like it minimizes and does nothing else. I have tried downloading the latest VG station launcher, and it gets through but hang up on logging on, saying network error.
    Included below is what errors launchpad had to say:

  2. This issue is typically the result of Firewall/Anti-Virus software preventing the launcher from running correctly. The first thing I would suggest you try to do temporarily disable this software (if you are running any) and try accessing the game once again. If you are able to get in please add launchpad.exe in your Vanguard directory to to list of exceptions in this software.
    If your problem persists please feel free to open a support ticket with us for further assistance.
  3. Disabling Firewall/Anti-Virus does nothing. :(

    If I ran the Vanguard file, it boot up Launchpad, gets to Loading Graphics, then disappears.
    If I ran the Launchpad file or use the latest Vanguard install link to repair, it boots towards login, after putting username/pw, it says network error.
    I have tried plugging straight into my cable modem. I have tried turning off UAC. I have tried uninstalling my anti-virus and turning off firewalls to no effect.
    Vanguard WORKED for me 4 months ago. Not sure why it isn't working now. Unless some patch during the last 4 months screwed things up.

  7. I also cannot get past the launcher. I click on Play, and it then says playing, but game does not launch. I tried disabling antivirus and running as admin, but it changes nothing. I tried to run vgclient.exe directly from file, and the game launches, but hangs on "connecting" and times out. I downloaded Vanguard today directly from their website.

  9. Yes, I did download the latest launchpad directly from that link. Same problem. I also tried downloading from Steam, and it still gives me the "playing" message but does not launch. I am a returning player, but it may not be worth this much hassle.
