In EQ1 there was a command "/viewport" that would allow the rendered area be set smaller than the game's normal play window. To have something like this in VG would allow for some very creative custom UI's. This one is an old UI from EQ1. {The game window is 1280x1024 and the rendered area is 1120x840} :

Having 2 widescreens and the issue with the fisheye effect when trying to do fullscreen across the two monitors could make using such a command or a way to create a UI using the same effect would be a great benefit to have. If someone knows how to change the UI to shrink the render area, please tell me how!

Im not sure what the problem is, vanguard scales perfectly well with wider screens, it just calculates more pixels to show you. for example with my ultrawide 21:9 screen I get more vision in the width

I think what he wants is for the window to have a "viewpoint" ... for example ... the window size would be bigger than the actual video from VG ... that would leave space for the chat box and other UI without interfering with the view.

    Does that make sense?

    you are correct it does.

Yes.. that is what I want. Was it not clear enough? If not, please help me elaborate further. Obviously anyone that could have helped me create a UI mod to do this no longer plays. Would have been nice to have dev help, but it seems thats not gonna happen either it seems.
