Update of DK epic

  1. The update notes from yesterday's update state that it:
    • Fixed an issue with the Dread Knight Epic weapon causing them to be unable to use a mount after reaching DC6
    • Fixed an issue with the Dread Knight Epic Weapon having extra stats
    As I am the only DK main in my guild, and as I have not yet filled the soul slot in "Ye Olde Purple Warhammer of Love" (but am very close to doing so), I was wondering exactly what effects these changes will have on the DK epic, as compared to the epic before the changes.
    I know about the bug that kept us from using a mount during DC6, and I am glad to hear that is fixed (if it truly is), but I am interested to know the effect the removal of stats will have.
    One guildie, who by the way is NOT a DK, claimed that the stats that were removed were stats that we would receive from DC6 if it had been working correctly, and that now it is working correctly, so we should get those stats from DC6. He claimed that the additional stats were placed on the epic to compensate for these stats not being given by DC6 previously, so now that DC6 is giving us these stats, the static stats had to be removed from the epic.
    However, the patch notes do not support this view. The notes only say the issue with mounts was fixed, and that extra stats were removed.
    Can anyone elaborate on this change? Is it a nerf, as compared to our epic before the patch? Do we already get these stats from DC6, and were we getting them from DC6 before the patch? Were we not getting the stats from DC6 before the patch, and are getting them now? I would love to hear what the real scoop is--from a DK who actually knows, and has seen the true effect since the patch.

  2. After the previous patch, a lot of the mitigation and evasion stats from the soul were quadrupled! I don't think they intentionally meant to do it because DC6 does work, they fixed it a while back. Personally, I think it was cosmetic only because I didn't notice much of a difference at all.
    They basically got rid of those extra stats that weren't supposed to be there with this patch. I have a screenshot of what it looked like with the extra stats at home that I can post later, it looked so sick!
    DC6 works, I tested it last night on Lordon Dalmarin.
    P.S. Get that Warhammer a Soul for goodness sake!!! You're killing me!!!
  3. LOL--yeah, working on my last shard now!
    Okay, so the stats they removed were only the ones that somehow made it on there with one of last patches--not stats that have been a part of the epic for a long time. Good to know!

  4. So basiclly they made it so that Almugus' Terror no longer drops you off your mount, so you no longer have to remove the buff, so if it is up one one mob, it will be up when you land at the next one, i for one am happy with this, now to deal with that F word (fear)
