Hey gang, Still working on the next build, so it may not be until tomorrow that I have something more to test. Here's what I've changed so far (not currently on Test server): The overall aggro/social radius has been decreased by a few meters. Reduced the amount of Endurance and Energy drained by the Vizier. Slightly reduced the amount of damage AoE attacks were doing overall. Most AoE's should now be locked to their correct number of targets. Fire Elementals should no longer Enrage at the begining of the fight. Planar Aberrations should cast their primary ability with less frequency. The duration of the Devour Vitae debuff has been significantly decreased. Efreeti Magi should summon a bit less, and have had their spells' damage decreased. The amount of endurance and energy drained by the Psionicist slaves has been decreased. Ironfoe/Iron Skin should now work properly against some of the stun and knockback effects used by NPC's in City of Brass. Abilities should now report their damage correctly (ie, Immolating Aether should only report damage once per hit now, the Quills attacks should now report their damage). Efreeti, hounds, and elementals can now provide Mindspy abilities to Psionicists. I'll try to get my remaining adjustments done this evening, and hopefully pushed out tomorrow morning/afternoon.
Also Overlord Tyrious's Planar Shear ability will now scale properly when mitigated Arena Master Zull Krul will no longer cast all ranks of his abilities at a time
I was going to start an itemization feedback thread, but...it looks like the item mods (stats) were wiped with the current build. I'll try to get that corrected for the next Test build so we can get some more of your thoughts, concerns, and feedback.
Also, Cult of the Angry Goblin - I owe you all an apology. While doing the webcast today, I forgot to mention you specifically by name when giving a shout out to guilds helping on Test (I was nervous, being my first webcast - super sorry). No harm meant, so please don't kill me when you all see the replay
The webcast was good Ceythos! I am looking forward to having something to log in for other than a weekly PUG. This will hopefully inspire others to come back to try the new content out. I am so glad it is 6-12 man content with an overland or two thrown in.
The healing itemisation for COB was downright terrible. As a disciple i would opt in on the dps stuff without even a second of doubt, this needs to be addressed imo.
Great job so far with CoB, I am pleased to see it is coming out at last. However, I just hope that everything is ready for it's release. I feel the itemization needs some extra work, especially regarding the weapons. I just would hate to see it launched in an unfinished state that will require frequent hotfixes to correct many issues that could have been potentially avoided with further testing.
Great to see CoB finally progressing. Apologies for not having been around to help with testing and feedback, but i hope the release goes smoothly.
There's a new Test build up now; the previously mentioned changes at the beginning of this thread should be on the new build. Additionally: - Si'Gabri and Adham should now have working versions of their abilities. - The item preview vendor should now be up and the items should have their current proposed stats (feedback is needed and appreciated - I'll start a separate thread for it). I'll need eyes on as much of the dungeon as possible this weekend and feedback posted, please. I'll be around this evening at 6pm PST to meet with Brohn's group and anyone else that wants to drop by. *Edit* Current known issues with this build, which should be corrected in the next (I didn't have the data together before today's build was put together): - Sinabu may sometimes appear as a corpse version of the NPC due to an interaction with the Efreeti's Stomp attack, and may still be attackable to players.. I don't need this tested at this time. - One of Si'Gabri's attacks may leave an unintentional effect on players until they re-log. No spoilers other than you'll know it when you see it This should be corrected in the next build. - Planar traps are at their old respawn rate of 5 minutes. This will be changed in the next build.
Once the game goes live COB will be packed.. Do you guys have plans to shard the area if ever it gets out of hand?? Kinda got reminded when APW first came out...
Blah, edit fail The above image is the new CoB Efreeti skin that our artists made for us. I think it's pretty sweet - looks more menacing, and I like the runes/scars on the hands and feet.
There will of course be an initial rush once it goes live but I don't think it will require shards. More content will solve the problem and push the hardcore players to swoop into CoB then move on to something harder cough* PotA B/Stiirhaad/Pankor Zhi etc
COB will make us busy for a while but you never know, we got some great players who get things done in short amount of time...
Rezzing this thread.. Overlord Tyrious can a dev look into this mob, either he is kinda broken or.. he is absolutely broken....
