Rufin's CoreUI+

Discussion in 'Gameplay Discussion' started by ARCHIVED-Seradon_Rufin, Aug 29, 2012.

  1. I've recently uploaded my CoreUI+ build to VGInterface. If you like CoreUI3, you might like this UI. It builds on TechyWarriors last updated version (1.7.1 I believe) but includes:
    • All updates to the UI required as the game has ben updated over the last few years (increased inventory size, short term buff bar).
    • F2P Marketplace button (default version) and Marketplace, with all of the pop-ups etc.
    • Soresha's latest release of Infomap (V.2.5) - huge thanks to Soresha for keeping this going
    • Sailing and marketplace windows per Hobarts recent post (8/23)
    • Includes a charging cast bar for Fire Pummel
    • Includes an update to Xandyrs vertical scrolling buff bar, to include name of buff name and time remaining as well as the icon - works for short term buff bar and main buff bar
    • Includes UI Customizer for CoreUI and Infomap - allows you to customize your crafting interface (adds in MaddyCraft interface for all you crafters and mini-diplo cards interface if you desire) Customizer also allows you to customize the size of all of your hotbars.
I will do my bets to keep this UI updated as changes to the game continue to be made. if you've got any issues or suggestions, please feel free to PM me or leave suggestions and bug reports on VGInterface. There are a couple of FAQ's and instructions regarding the UICustomizer on VGInterface.

Special thanks to Nadger and Techwarrior for the creation and early development of CoreUI, Soresha for Infomap, Xandyr for his scrolling buff window design and others I'm sure I have forgotten.
  2. Thank you for updating this! I've been using it for a few days now.
I love it, well except for the experience bar (yeah, minor niggle, but still, it bugs me). Would it be easy to replace with, say, the one in Drox's, or heck, even the default? Or would that be too much fiddling for you to walk me through that? (If it is, no worries, I'll just deal.) I tried digging through the files, but the most I've typically done in games is mesh files together that don't typically overwrite each other, which makes it really easy. In this case I'm not even sure if it's an easy replacement or if there are traces all over the place.

Thanks Shaz. Funny enough, I was looking at the experience bar last weekend - hence the comment from Tinq. I doubt the default xp bar would work, but I could take a look at the Drox one and see if I could add it in as an update.

Shhh, shhh, there there, it'll be ok. Take a deep breath- I promise, it'll be ok. <offers Cookies of Friendship and tries to look as non-threatening as possible>
If it was unclear in my original post- I wasn't asking to change the mod's default xp bar, I was just asking for how I, myself, could change the xp bar for my own personal use. Or, well, heck, if Rufin can add in multiple versions of the xp bar to choose from (just like there are options for other things in the UI Customizer), that would be fine- no, that would be fantastic, too.
I don't want to take your xp bar away from you. Never meant it that way at all!

Thanks for taking a look at it, Rufin! I appreciate it.
  8. Quick question: Has the HUD been removed or is it just a bad selection of screenshots?

I've manually updated my CoreUI since development stopped. If the HUD has been removed from this one I could probably find somewhere to upload mine.
  9. No problem, Shaz, will at least look and see how easy it is. more likely to be a simple update on VGInterface.
And no, Seevin, the HUD is not shown in the pictures I uploaded. Customizer allows you to pick from a number of different options (I use Kinked with numbers). One of the pics on VGInterface shows you the Kinked HUD, I just didn't upload that same picture here as well as there.
  10. I've uploaded update V1.1 to VGInterface. this update is a cosmetic change and replaces the CoreUI experience bar with the one from Alimora's Drox UI version.
You must download and install the full version of CoreUI+ first - from here: http://www.vginterface.com/download..._CoreUI%2B.html
Once that is done, download the update zip from http://www.vginterface.com/download...Updatev1.1.html.
    • Merge the textures folder from the update into the CoreUI3 folder.
    • Merge the xml folder from the update into the CoreUI3 folder, replacing the CorePlayerStatus.xml file
    • Replace the Index.xml and SkinInfo.xml files in the CoreUI3 folder with those from the update.
Once in game, you will need to go into layout mode and move the experience bar to your desired location.
  11. WOO! <happy bounce, happy bounce>
    Fangirl moment. Sorry!

    Thanks, Rufin :D

I have uploaded an update to my CoreUI+ UI to VGInterface - follow the link above to get to the patch.
This patch is a revision to the Customizer:
    • Fixed some issues within the Code that I had previously uploaded.
    • Added in a Misc Options group that...
    • ...allows you to select either the CoreUI default XP bar or the Drox XP Bar (Thanks to Alimora for the Drox Xp Bar code).
    • ...allows you to select the Default SC Marketplace button or a small Marketplace button (thanks to Grimmier for the code for this)
I have also modified the hit box around the Default SC marketplace button making it easier to left-click drag and move without using layout mode. The smaller "Subscribe" button is also be included.
To Install, you will first need to install the base version of Rufin's CoreUI+, then download the patch, unzip the file and copy the folders into the .../Shells folder, replacing all files you are asked to replace. Once done, run the Customizer from within .../Shells/CoreUI3/UICustomizer to make your selections for the HUD, group settings, xp bar etc BEFORE you run the game.

A huge thanks to TechyWarrior for his advice in how to clean up the Customizer code.
As always, if you have any issues, please let me know.
  14. As a quick edit, I heard that the Update caused folks to see 2 Experience bars when they used the CoreUI setting for the XP Bar in the UI Customizer. I have now uploaded a fix for this, replacing the original Update V2 zip file with v.2.1.
If you had already downloaded the update and installed it, please download the new version, unpack it and copy all of the files and folders from the downloaded CoreUI3 folder into your .../shells/CoreUI3 folder, replacing all of the existing files with those from the download when asked to do so.
  15. is it necessary to adjust every window etc. again after installing the fix?
  16. No, the system will remember your previous settings in the Customizer, so you only need to go to the Misc options and choose the XP bar and Marketplace button type you want.
  17. ok, because after update 2.0 i had to readjust everything =)
  18. I have just uploaded UpdateV2.2. This update makes some background changes to the UICustomizer code and adds the option to select different bag styles (VGDefault, CoreUI or Drox Small) to the Misc options tab within UICustomizer.
As always, thanks to Techywarrior and Alimora.
  19. Update V3 is now available on VGInterface.com - http://www.vginterface.com/download...UIUpdateV3.html
I have added back the ability to set preset searches into the exchange marketplace window after reviewing the code from Hobart et al to ensure there are no duplicate items.

I've also added back the ability to customize the browser bookmarks that are available from the in game browser window.

You can customize your presets for searching the exchange and the bookmarks you wish to display in game from within the UICustomizer. You will need to make all of your choices in the UICustomizer after installing this update.

Note, I am aware of an issue with the bag code within the Customizer that requires you to make a selection of the bags you want each time you run the customizer. I have been unable to find the bug causing this issue at this time, but will keep searching.
  20. Thanks for the updates, I just reloaded Core yesterday and you gave us more last night.
