Brad McQuaids New MMORPG Pantheon (video)

Hey guys, just a brief discussion on the game. Check it out.

given your stated preference for open world (no zone loading / being able to see into the next area even if you hitch at the "chunk" line) perhaps you should be playing Vanguard, Saga of Heros (also a brad creation) while you wait for pantheon to get farther into production. Btw , Vanguard has Pantheon of the Ages as a working dungeon area with multiple gods and factions. good luck on your newest endeavor brad!

I do play, i'm still a newb but it's definitely a good game! I've recommended it to my subscribers a few times now.

If Brad is project lead in that I am not going to put a single dime on it. He is brilliant designer, but also totally hopeless as any kind of leader or coder.

This is something I and my family will be watching. Hoping it will be done right.

I also am keeping a close eye on this game. To answer Felis, Brad is listed as the Chief Creative Officer, not CEO so thats a good sign.

I agree with the other folks' sentiment that I hope Brad learned his lesson from VG and has someone hired on who's going to take care of the actual managing of people aspect, the failure of which harmed Vanguard as much as it did.

Looks like Ceythos is on that project (well, rumor mill stuff) definetly interested as well.

If Ceythos is in, i'll put my money on the game... Not because of Brad, i don't care about him, but for Corey, he deserves to create a great game...

Now, for the first time since i heard about Brad's new MMO i'm planning to donate money for that project, and i'll not select the smallest possible donation...

Yes, he was fired few months ago along many other SOE Employees(Brad McQuaid included)

Do we have confirmation that Silius is still with SOE on EQN, it was rumored he might be apart of Brad's new game since his name was on the registration of the website. Really would rather Silius stuck with SOE on EQN....

He is not working for SOE anymore, he was fired at the same time, he was looking for a job a few months ago in linkedin, but he is not looking for a job anymore...

Yeah, Ceythos is definetly on the project. Spoke briefly with him yesterday. Silius is too sounds like. Just hope they never make him lead anything...

Silius played a major part in the crafting sphere right from the beginning so I wouldn't discount him too much. If I recall correctly, he's one of the few Sigil folks SOE kept on when the bailed 'em out.

As long as everyone sticks to their strengths this could be something to keep an eye on. We'll see.

I will definitely keep my eyes on this. Especially with the team of devs they currently have. As long as Brad isn't put in charge of anything financial, and Silius isn't put in charge of end game gear progression, it should be awesome.

Yes I have to agree.

On Sil, and if any has been here over the years knows I have no love for him, he is responsible for some of my favorite content. He is a talented Dev, but has a Ego problem that far exceeds his ability to deliver. Even Brad himself has admitted this issue within himself recently, "feeling that every thing I touch would turn to gold, and that is just not the case."

Sil is capable, if given the right discipline as is Brad given he has some one willing to say "Awesome idea Brad, but that goes over here to the "Future board", right now we need to focus on "What can be delivered for release board".

Ikik on the project is awesome to hear, Ceythos is great as well. Over all this could be one great project. But only time will tell.
