Just wondering where I can find the replacement for Heirophant's Boon that's listed in the patch notes. My druid is level 48 and I can't seem to find it anywhere, not even sure what it's called. If anyone else has had luck in finding it, would you be so kind and enlighten me?
The ability. Is missing on my druid as well. There is just a blank spot on hotbar where the old version was. I put in a bug report, but I should have done a petition instead. The petition system was down by the time I realized my error. I don't think that we are the only ones with this issue, but I haven't seen a solution mentioned yet.
It's a bit confusing to explain because of the names switching around, but here goes... The old version of Boon is simply gone; it was converted into the Blessing stance. So if you only had the ability at its first rank, it won't be on your hot bar anymore. This isn't a bug. The older version of Blessing, which was the upgrade to Boon, is now called Boon. If you had the old version (Blessing), it should still be on your hot bar (as Heirophant's Boon). Hopefully that makes sense. It makes my head hurt a little...
Thanks for the reply, Moorgard. I may not have explained this well, but the missing ability to which I'm referring was given in the patch notes as follows: "Heirophant's Boon has been changed to an ability that restores 15 Phenomena points, useable every 5 minutes." I don't have an ability in my druid's ability book that matches the one described above. I understand that the old version that restored all phenom points was changed to the 15 points every 5 minutes version, but I don't currently have an ability that restores phenom points (either version). Thank you again for responding.
I see a level 55 ability on the druid trainer called Hierophant's Blessing (same name as the stance). My druid is level 52, so I suppose he won't have that one for a while. Just to be certain that I understand the new ability, I'll state my impression of the way things are and perhaps someone can affirm or deny its veracity: under the new druid design, a druid *does not* have an ability to restore phenom points until level 55. Is this correct? My apologies for being slow on the uptake, but the idea of not having a phenom-restoring ability after so many levels of having one (I've played this character since launch day way back when) seems pretty odd and a little irritating. If my druid *is* supposed to have an ability that restores phenom points prior to 55, then my character is just bugged, I suppose, in which case I'd love to have this corrected before I send him back out into the wilds of Telon.
Mine's 51 and they just have nothing to teach me. You get points regen from one of the stances and I think the basic lightning still does it. However as I said in another post, this whole druid change seems geared towards raid bosses, yes I can see that running out of points would make them sub par on a ten minute plus fight, but I would think this is pretty irrelevant to leveling as most stuff drops so quickly I never used the points spells much. So I thought it would have been better to tweak some existing abilities instead of changing the class mechanic from the get go. Guess we will be switching stances and getting the regen ability at 55.
Amnath you are right. I just dinged 55 last night and got the spell from the trainer which is still called Hierophant's Blessing. However once you learn it and put in your book it becomes Boon. It seems that until your 55 you will just have to survive by regening points by stance switching
This could be a druid killer for me. I solo a lot so I depend on boon to regenerate my points. Sad indeed.
The HB stance now allows you to generate significantly more PP than it used to (a base of 50% chance of generating 1 PP per cast for the use of a number of abilities).
Druid stances are pooty. Third re-scoping of the class, because every developer thinks it ought to be their way. I wish they messed with the more popular classes as much.
