I returned to the game after 2 years to find all my chars on Halgar can you only transfer your old chars over ? or can I transfer any new ones i have on Halgar to telon?
You can transfer any characters, but they will only be transfered once, which is fine as there will soon just be 1 server.
Devs posted the merge schedule which included a merge of halgar to the us server. This merge has subsequently been postponed indefinitely but probably will happen at some future point. Posts can be found in the SOe tracker list or search function on this board

How long did you all have to wait for the server transfer? I'm returning - or at least thinking about it - after 2+ years (played since release) but found Halgar completely deserted, even though my house was still up! So I petitioned for a transfer to Telon but that was a month ago now and my chars are still on Halgar.
Athos! The time spent waiting seems to vary for most people, if i were you i'd put in a petition so the GM's can make sure you are flagged correctly for a transfer. Alternatively, create a toon on Telon and talk to a GM in game - they usually hang out at the Khal rift.

Thanks for the replies, and hey there Ghost! Yes I got an email and I had to update my petition with the chars I wanted to transfer and the other stuff Jamhand mentioned above, which I did. Then I got another email saying my petition status was "solved". This was december 3rd. /shrug Making a char on Telon and try to chat with a GM might be a good idea, gonna try that.
