Bloodmage - Augs

  1. So I was going to do some testing myself but I wanted to throw this out there and see if anyone already knows whats what with bloodmage augs. I am working on T3 gear and aquiring augs for that setup but so many questions...
    - Heal Effectiveness, Heal Crit Chance, Heal Crit Multiplier... Do and of these effect to tap heals in any way?
    - Damage rating/crit type runes... How close will we get to cap without augs? Trying to gauge how many augs I will need to aquire...
    - Obviously as a bloodmage arcane resistant/reflecting mobs create some trouble for us at the end game... Currently my setup is almost all damage based, pushing every stat that produces more dps for higher hps. Are others setting up this way or are folks adding more vit and healing augs to your setup?
Any "confirmed" info would be great...
  2. Heal Effectiveness, crit and crit multiplier do NOT apply to tap heals. Dont waste the money.
Damage rating is pretty easy to cap with no augs. If you alt over it on the stat page you can see where you stand. 25% from gear, 25% from buffs.
For infuse type slots, I would suggest accuracy runes, since strikethrough also does not apply to lifetaps.
Other than that youre right on with full damage spec. More damage = bigger life taps. I only have a couple vit runes in because I can cap my int and wis all the way.
On a side note, you can make a macro for your vit heals that will put you in sanguine focus, equip 2 "healer type" focus' then cast the vit heal. You'll just have to make another macro to put you back in Focus of gelenia and equip your dps focus'.

Thanks for the reply! I have been macroing stance swaps and weapon changed for some time now. I hoping there were some more positive answers to runes but O well... DPS it is!
  4. While no one can deny that damage healing is probabaly the most efficient in normal situations, there are some fights where you might be better off having a vit healing set at the ready. bloodmages do have a healing stance making their normal heals reasonably efficient too. A seperate set with vit stats and soresha's gear switches make a good backup :)
