I was looking for some old stories or lore for Vanguard and it's lands/people. I can't find any. Does anyone know if the creators of Vanguard ever put out any official history, or lore that we can read so we can get to know the land we are playing in better.

I know as I do quests I get a better feel of the world, but was curious if there wasn't more.

    Thanks,

You can try here for some early Sigil games lore, and here for some from 2008, of course there is always the wiki and diplomacy in game, there is a lot of backstory there. Hope these help a little

    and one more here

Doing diplomacy is another way to get a huge chunk of the lore.

Most of the game's lore is, as others have said, in questlines. Not just diplomacy questlines, mind you, but those are probably the easiest to access out of hand.

Some lore *can* be found on the various wikis. SilkyVenom has some great RP-helpful information on each of their racial pages, for example.

Perhaps as part of whatever project you're working on you could share your results with the wiki.

(Also returning after a long time, joining the forums) I remember a long long time ago, around 2003-2004, I helped run a website called www.Vanguardlive.com. I copied all the lore and pictures that Glip and the rest would post on the old Sigil Games Online site. Sadly, the owner of the site let it lapse with the rest (Eqii.com, Uxoo.com and some others). I wish I had copied them to my email or something first, or that the owner had kept a copy of the site on disk. :/ Oh well, at least I got to go to the Community Summit in 2004. :)
