Any bards willing to screenshot or share their song playlists for newer players? I'm messing with it here and there, but struggling a bit since coming back to VG. Also, I recall a long time ago there were some good macros out there for bards to switch songs/weapons depending on the situation. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
while i don't want to take screenshots (my ui is a mess and bonger will make fun of me if i post a shot) i can tell you a few quickie macros and song hints. i'll start with some pointers about songs just remember that if you don't have the slots to go x3 in an area, just fill with as many as you can. also remember that you need to be able to mantain your song, so use rests in place of components if you are having problems. when i was leveling i had three dps songs, one for times when i had psi or bird buffs, one for without and another that just killed my mana bar for those oh pooopie moments. verse: mellariens anthem of war (+15% dmg with str and int) embellishments: harmony of war (+12-20 dmg) run as many of these as you can (3x preferably) lyrics: i usually fill these with either elemental procs and/or the caster damage/crit buff (the caster dmg/crit buff can only be used once and is pretty much required since it helps bard shouts too) chorus: here i stockpile rests or use defensive components (the +5% damage components here do not stack with the +15% from the verse so i only use them when i need to put something else in the verse line) verses: again i stockpile rests here or run the mana/health regen components bridges: the stat boosting component as many as possible coda: the +2% dmg but sometimes when no psi buffs i run the +20% refresh haste (when you get epic you will run the global recovery haste coda) as for macros to for switching gear and playing a song: /wear "name of best lute" (this use to be a drum, but that got &$^@ed up so now it is a lute) /play "Brave Sir Robin's Retreat" (a song to bravely run away, aka runspeed) /wear "name of fancy sword/axe" primaryhand /wear "name of not so fancy sword/axe" secondaryhand /play "dps song" you can also use macros for attacks as a bard (infact we are probably one of the easiest dps classes to macro. /cas "Calming Lullaby" /cas “Eaon’s Booming Bellow†/cas “Eaon’s Superior Blasting Bellow†/cast "fire/cold/phisical dot" /reactionch 1 (the hew line, it is the big dps one and will shift while leveling) /cas “Fox Overtakes the Hare" /cas “Striking the Mountain†/cast "sever the tie" (the blue sword, not sure of the name while leveling but at max it is kedon's critical severing) you will need to use your imagination to add in ones for razor parts silk and your force crit and thread the needle and other chains ect. be creative and enjoy your bard. we are after all the rockstars of vanguard... we always have lots of groupies!
