This is incredibly frustrating. Whenever I seem to be 'zoning', the entire client goes black. I can hear music still and sound effects, but it's black. I try everything, still black. I have to crash the client and reload. My computer is pretty good, but this is totally an issue. It also goes to this black screen whenever I /flush all, or change a graphics setting. Any support would be great, thanks!
Can you give us some more information on your system specs? I know there are some existing issues with some graphics cards and configurations.
I'm playing on an HP laptop - couple years old. ATI Mobility graphics card. The game runs completely fine, and seamlessly - up until zoning or loading/tweaking graphics stuff, then frozen black client.
Make sure you don't have anti-aliasing on in your video card settings. I know there are some issues with ATI cards and VG. Hopefully someone with more tech knowledge will reply and help you out. You might want to search on the forums for ATI or people having similar problems.
Please check your logs if possible and look for any errors that might pop up. Logs can be found in <install_directory>/Logs/VGClient.log. We haven't touched this area of the client in a while so this might help narrow down what's going on. Thanks,

Try restailing direct x 9c. VG cant not use direct x 10 or 11 Also check the video and sound drivers are up to date.
