2-3 second freeze every new area

    I run 60+ fps with 100 ms most the time but anytime i enter a new area while running my game will freeze for a few seconds and when it starts moving again it is almost like i just logged on with mail and item claim messages and sometimes my mini map will be completely blue and i will get a invulnerable buff til i move again just for running into a new area. Anyway to fix this

    That's what happens when you cross a chunkline, except for the invulnerable buff and minimap thing, I’ve never seen that but I’ve been using a UI that replaces the minimap for a long time. There is nothing that can be done about chunking because it’s part of how the game works and cannot be fixed, it’s an engine limitation.

    Well now which UI do you use that you've never seen this? I use MapInfo and have my map frequently go gray and get the invuln buff as well just from chunking. Happens when rifting as well!

    I'm using TBird DroxUI: http://www.vginterface.com/downloads/info218-TbirdDroxCompilation.html But it may not be related to the UI, there may be other reasons for it. What I can assure you is that I’ve never got an invul buff just for chunking.




    If that happens again, can you post the contents of /Bin/Logs/Vgclient.ini? I may not be able to help you much with that information but I’m sure that someone may be able to see something there, do it just after chunking, before moving, to ensure that the last part of the log contains the info of the chunkline that caused the problem.
