      • The leap of faith during the quest “Faith in Jin” will now only save you from the fall while you have te quest active. This was to prevent people flying through the area from being teleported undesirably.
      • Imperial Soldiers in Shang Village can no longer be attacked with offensive abilities.
      • Changed the ability description of “Turtle Shell” used by Helshorn Lurker’s to “Increased Armor”.
      • Fixed a dialogue bug during the quest “Choosing Your Path.”
      • Fixed several logic errors in the quest “Choosing Your Path” that allowed player to gate themselves from completing the quest, collect multiple quest items, among other things.
      • Made the rooftops of the Ra’Jin Fortress more accessible for the quest “Ra’Jin Rooftops.”
      • Clarified summary text of the quest “One Hand Clapping.”
      • Decreased the assist aggro radius of Stabled Ostra in the Ra’Jin Fortress.
      • Decreased the level of Hulking Sandscrapers in the Tanvu bay to level 7.
      • Added a quest “The Ra’Jin Grandmaster” available from Master Shaof in the abandoned hotel.
      • Grandmaster Nahuji has been made a small-group target.
      • Archetype ability trainers have been added at the House of Master Tallon to eliminate backtracking.
  2. I havent tested these changed yet, but i have one thing i wonder if anyone looked into.
    Repeatable quests: at some point probably you decided to remove the exp gain from repeatable quests completely, this has created some gaps in low and mid game content that hasnt been filled. perhaps concider reinstating some of the exp gain ?
  3. I played a Raki Ranger upto level 8 and chose the Path of Lao Jin. Here's my feedback. Tagging my feedback based on the type.

    * [SUGGESTION] Soldier Morale Quest - Would be nice if the Cowardly Imperial Solders has different dialogues after you threaten them to serve the emperor.
    * [SUGGESTION] Ranger Learned Ability - Freeze. So after learning Freeze, it would be nice to inform using the hints "!" window on what learned abilities are.
    * [SUGGESTION] Tips for newbies on how to hail NPCs using "h" or /hail. I think some tutorial on basic UI uses like how to zoom in and out and adding hotbars etc would be nice.
    * [BUG] Remove quest rewards for the quest "A New Master" from Old Man Kanjaro. The 1 dmg bow and dagger are sort of worthless when the previous quest already awards you the Scout's gear.
    * [BUG] Tried to get the quest "Avenging Oki" which is a triggered quest when you click on the body of a Kojuro mob. But clicking accept didn't do anything. Finally I had to close the dialogue and reclick again to get the quest. This happens in lots of other places throughout the game. Some wierd UI related issue.
    * [POSSIBLE ISSUE] It took me about 6-8 kills of Kojuki Pillargers to get Oki Jewels. I am not sure what the exact intended number is. But just submitting as feedback.
    * [SUGGESTION] Please add a General goods vendor to sell stuff near the area with Kiyomi (the light fighter instructor). My inventory was full of vendor drops and I could have used a vendor to sell the stuff and repair.
    * [TYPO] Quest name: A Test of Wisdom. When trying to use the leash to capture the Golden Ostra. The bubble that appears says "Catching Ostard" instead of "Catching Ostra".
    * [BUG] When I dinged level 8. The hints tell me I can learn my first defensive ability and counterattack. So as a Ranger I learnt Rancor which is a counterattack. But I didn't get to learn Fence (or whatever the ranger force parry ability is called). So fix the hints. Also I am not sure if there's any point to learning Rancor when you can't force parry.
    * [BUG] Somehow I wound up with 2 x Kojuko's Mask of Honor. I am just sure if this particular item is duplicated reward in two different quests.
    * [BUG] I was unable to start the quest "Defend the House of Shaof" from Taok in Magi Hold Chunk (after getting ported from Tanvu). Kept complaining my inventory was full even tho it wasn't.

    EDIT: Ohh yeah forgot to add, the XP rate and difficulty was ok. I played upto the part where I reached the small group stuff. I will comment on the small group stuff another day.
  4. Dravid, great stuff. Looking forward to hearing about your experience with the group content.
    Also, the House of Shaof quest line was in the next tier (11-20). I didn't think that content got pushes, but I may be wrong.
    How did the Jin quests around level 9-10 feel?
  5. - Played through content as a Druid.
    - Intro to Shang Village has a nice feel to it.
    - Early on, Ire one-shots most mobs and feels too powerful for the level. Later, Ire's damage doesn't really increase much and just feels like a quick waste of phenom points.
    - Revised or added loot rewards are just random dupes of IoD named loots. What was that Senshi Master doing with Harozda's underlay? haha
    - Noticed some Kokoujo frequently standing on top of me rather than in front of me resulting in being unable to cast spells once the Kokoujo reached melee range.
    - Following up on Dravid's comment about the Oki Jewels, mine dropped from the first I killed and I was standing right next to the npc. Made me think "Why was that even a quest?"
    - Really enjoyed "Catching the Ostra." Would really like to keep the Ostra as a pet ala' Tenby or summonable pet ala' Caged Redcap.
    - Noticed the duplicate quest rewards for Masks as mentioned by Dravid.
    - Ended on quests at the Ra'Jin Stronghold. Appears this content will need a small group, which I like very much.
    - Play times thus far (first time is time played, second time in parenthesis is approximate amount of time taken to attain that level following the previous level):
    Lvl 2 - 3min 35 sec (4 mins)
    Lvl 3 - 7 min 54 sec (4 mins)
    Lvl 4 - 16 min 10 sec (9 mins)
    Lvl 5 - 32 min 53 sec (16 mins)
    Lvl 6 - 53 min 26 sec (21 mins)
    Lvl 7 - 1hr 8 min 38 sec (16 mins)
    Lvl 8 - 1hr 25 min 32 sec (17 mins)
    Lvl 9 - 1hr 48 min 52 sec (23 min 20 sec)
  6. Also, just noticed that the cloak is obtainable prior to finishing the other quests at Ra'Jin Stronghold. Though this cannot be worn until 10, it seemed as though this was supposed to be a reward for doing something more than just clicking an essence and talking to an npc. If the cloak was to be one of the reasons that players may want to run through the temple on the Isle of Dawn they don't have to worry about skipping it when all they have to do is say hi to this npc after leaving the Isle.

  8. Awesome feedback Thrayc. I'm interested in how the Ra'Jin Rooftops quest works out for players. If you get a chance to test it, try that one out. It's pretty darn cool.

    WooShell -- We'll see what we can do about making the leap accessible outside of the quest, without interfering with players who are just flying through.

  10. More thoughts on Tanvu:
    - Achieved level 10, total time played 2 hr. 14 mins. (26 minutes from lvl 9 to lvl 10)
    - Along the way, there seems to be an excessive amount of trainers. Is this really necessary?
    - Do not like the removal of class specific trainers in Tanvu
    - Frequently found myself overleaping rooftops and landing on the ground, only to have to run back and redo this all over again. Have not finished this quest yet.
    - Continue to have issues with npc's standing on top/inside me rather than in front of me, though the Kokoujo are the only ones that seemed to affect being able to see the target to cast. Still able to cast on other mobs standing on/inside me. (will post screenshots soon if I can).
    - Kokoujo Mask and Shang Mask have double +1 to Intelligence and other stats. Not putting a +2 instead makes this look like a bug or a lazy error.
    - Attempting to jump off the side of the stronghold near entrance level results in being bounced back, or simply falling straight down. Unsure if this is intended.
    - Wasted 10 silver trying to use the riftway to green rifts after turning 10, only to crash to character select and be returned to Tanvu. Are the other areas playable on test right now, or are they all locked? If they're all locked, would it be possible to open up Tanvu, Cliffs, and Tursh to players on Trial? This may increase your flow of test through these areas while gaining input from brand new faces (not veterans like most of us). They'll likely take the opportunity to experience another aspect of the game. (On the other hand though, the lack of skills and abilities on test is likely to drive away new players that do not understand what "Test" means, or fear that these changes are Vanguard's future).
  11. - Went back to do the Ra'Jin Rooftops and it still feels as though I can't judge my own strength in jumping most of the time--I always end up jumping farther than I intend and missing my target. I don't mind being challenged here--that's nice! But, I don't feel in control of my jumps. I feel like some jumps I'm going 5 ft forward and others I'm going 50ft forward. Is there a way to smooth this out? Also, the petals seem to be an indication of where spots for jumping are, but they can barely be seen. Any way to tweak their visibility? So far I still haven't been able to complete this on test, due to falling repeatedly. I have completed it off test on live and it is very fun (but still just as difficult to feel in control). A good example of feeling "in control" is that final jump to the temple--even trying to jump off target I found myself landing where I needed to, or, if falling just short of the ledge getting a slight extra boost up back where I need to be. That last jump is amazing - And incredibly rewarding! I absolutely love the reward at the end! You know who I'm talking about . This is great. We need something like that on the Isle, a cool hidden location to explore, resulting in the reward of an awesome boss fight. (I've always wondered---what if you could find a way down that well in the center of Tentrees village? What lurks at the bottom of the well!?)
    - Appeared to be having an issue with lag at the stronghold. At first I thought it was just on my end, but after logging out and re-visiting the location on Live I didn't have the issue. I go back to Test, and I have the issue again. I seem to lock up right at the corner to going around to the steps to go up the stronghold. If I jump down from the rooftop onto the steps, I seem to be able to avoid the lag. If I walk up and around the corner as normal though, I get game-locking lag from then on (often resulting in my death). Anyone else experiencing an issue with lag at the stronghold, or at this particular spot?
  12. hello, just started a char on test to do the kojani starter area. it seems that there are some issues with the positioning quest items and also som npc`s. for example the shang treasure is not visible, looks like it`s stuck somewhere in the bottom of the house..
    i deleted the quest and moved on, but the next quest where i had to click items had the same problem, no item where it supposed to be.
    also some quest npc`s and trainers/vendors had some z-positioning issues. at least their head was visible ^^
    despite that, looks very cool to me, good work :)

  15. I don't believe I've seen this reported but I have noticed that there are a growing occurance of items without stats.
    For example Disciple's Boots of House Shaof is 23 AC with no stat bonuses at all. Disciple's Imperial Gauntlets is similar, 24 AC with no stat bonuses.
    I'll update this post with further items as I find them. Getting a lot of discos here so it doesn't seem anyone's run through this way as of yet?

Maybe not the right place to post this since the issue happens on live already, but as a monk, I could get the quest "Battle Training" from Master Kaol at level 7, while the reward is a level 8 weapon. My friend, as a disciple, could only get the quest at level 8. I believe it's supposed to be a level 8 quest for all classes.

  18. Is the Tanvu starting area due some fixes?
    Someone needs to run through this area a few times, the quest flow is terrible. Under leveling areas and then getting moved on to the next outpost when NPC's still have red quest shields.
    Being sent to trainers when you have not reached the next training level.
    Quests rewarding the same items.
    Followup quests being offered before the first has been completed or so it would seem reading the quests and NPC dialog.
    Sorry if I sound harsh, but I am starting to feel im banging my head against a brick wall.
  19. Quests
    - A Parting Gift, Quest given at level 7, should not be able to obtain this quest until you have completed The Final Tests of Jin
    - The Final Tests of Jin, marked as a level 9 quest but you have to do quests that are marked as level 10 and 11 to get updates for this quest.
    - The Final Tests of Jin, no waypoint to Master Garu or Shaof
    - The Nature of Jin, marked as solo but due to the fact you have small group quests within this quest it should be marked as small group.
    - The Nature of Jin, This quest becomes a chore due to the sheer amount of quests needed to get the updates, aswell as some of them being group quests with mobs that hit for over 300.
    - Beast of the Air, marked as solo, should be small group. mob is a 3 dot.
    - Beast of the Air, no waypoint to an area with Falx as there is with the other two quests.
    - Beast of the Land, marked as solo, should be small group. Plated Trompers are hitting for over 300 damage...
    - Beast of the Sea, marked as solo, should be small group. Mob is a 3 dot.
    - The Wretched, waypoint marks Enthralled Acrid, should be marking Sanctimon Sanuse.
    - Acrid Hide, should have either the above waypoint or should just have the Sanctimon Sanuse waypoint as the Acrid Entralled is wandering mob.
    - Eggs of the Serpent, waypoint does not match up with the quest objectives its way off.
    - Mobs in all these areas are between 7 and 8, the quests are marked as level 10 and 11 change the mob levels to match the quests. Its pathetic fighting light blue mobs when you have just come from the Raj'in Stronghold where the mobs are level 9-10 makes no sense.
    - The Ra'Jin Grand Master, not associated with Tanvu so does not light up in the quest journal even though the quest is done in Tanvu chunk. No waypoint to the Ra'jin Outpost.
    - Ra'Jin Rooftops, I think the quest should be given at the same time as The Ra'Jin Grand Master instead of when you are first pointed to Shaof.
    - Master Uiza-do Kahn, I think the quest should be given at the same time as The Ra'Jin Grand Master instead of when you are first pointed to Shaof.
    - Ra'Jin Rooftops, hated it tried it a few time and then gave up.
    - The Ra'Jin Grand Master, didnt complete due to the stupid rooftop mechanic.
    NPCs

    - Add trainers to Master Garu Monastrey, nearest trainers are Tanvu which is a long journey away and you are most likely to gain level 10 while doing this content. It would also add more to the ambience of that outpost, as it is it feels dull and empty.
    - Shaof - White name
    - Tidal Gataro - Doing ranged attacks
    - Rippling Gataro - Doing ranged attacks
    Classes

    -Shaman - Weak Spirit Bond: Skamadiz, melee damage increase % does not work from this form, this is also true for the next ranks.
    Items
    Didnt get a single finger item reward from any of the quests.
    General
    There is a serious performance issue with Ra'Jin Stronghold. Dropping to 5 FPS for a few seconds and major stuttering which I have never experienced before.

I really hope and pray that the itemization of the dungeons as discussed in another thread does not follow this line of required level being 1 for everything. Maybe its just me but not taking the extra minute or two to appropriatly set the required level to the same level of the quest is simply a horrible lack of attention to detail or /sigh laziness.. ?
