I am shocked that no players have posted anything about throwing an end of the game party. I took four days off from work so I could be around for the party and since there isn't one, I invite the community to join me on the docks of New Targonor and form a ship convoy at 3 pm CST on the 31st. We will travel the waterways, stopping at each port city and pick up any stragglers that want to come and end at Ahgram. I want to clog the river with side by side Galleons to form the worlds largest party barge! (other ships welcome as well). Boats are seriously broken when crossing chunk lines. Unless you want your final moments in Vanguard to be a frustrating and buggy mess, I'd strongly suggest you choose something else to do.
should end in Khal.at 5:55 and maybe if we are lucky server will crash with that many boats. That's a more fitting way to end VG days
While I love the idea of a huge party, I strongly suggest that boat travel not be a part of it. My main was lost at sea and Exerge had to rebuild a new toon for me. He renamed the old toon Brokenham as he is totally borked, crashes the Kahl chunk every time I try to log him in. I vote for Kahl Harbor as the gathering place, east to get to and we can all spawn our ships there.
Yes boat convoy was a good idea, but I'd rather not have the last day be a crash bugfest. Last time I got my boat out I crashed every other chunk I crossed. Khal is a good place, easy for people to access. Let's just hope somebody doesn't drop the ball and pull the plug early so we can have this one last positive experience.

I did not know boats have become so borked. I figured we would crash a few times crossing the portals cause those chunks seem to "sleep" quite a bit. I will test it and see how bad the chunk lines are from Khal to Ahgram. I posted Ahgram as the party place cause there is more room for boats and I like that city far more than Khal, should be a proper place to end things. If boat travel is not possible, we can convoy on land to escort the low levels down to Ahgram and might be more fun anyway. Looks like I did miss that post Isoel, and sorry that the photo op didn't turn out as expected. I will still start at New Targ at 3 pm and see if any show for that party and then Head to Khal / Ahgram by 4:30. No reason both parties cant happen or merge up by partying first at Targ then moving to Ahgram.
I'd love to join you guys but the 6pm shutdown is 1pm Friday here so I'll be at work. I was in Beta up until launch and enjoyed the game but the bugs and the lag stopped me from buying it. I have spent the last couple of weeks exploring a bit, with the help of a store bough galleon and flying mount. It's a damn shame, but I can see why it's being closed, it looks like it's still in Beta with the crashes and getting stuck. IMO unless they are willing to fix the bugs they shouldn't be charging for a game. Damn shame because it could have been a great game, it had a few unique features and beautiful game architecture.
No worries at all hun! I've been so busy I've hardly had time to log on, even this past weekend with all the fun to be had I only was able to get on once. Is life, people have stuff to do, but I do hope that we can have a bit more show up on our games' final day.
will miss not seeing VG people at SOE live this year. I plan to have my Tshirt on and my VG bag on my back, will try to make the last day showing. (although I gave my boats to some new players)
I'll be there on the last day..... First started playing Vanguard in beta. For some reason, my original gnome character was deleted. Does anyone have a spare mount/boat I can use?
I am going to be at SOE Live again this year. Plan on wearing one of my Vanguard shirts as well. I look forward to seeing you again, and hope others of the regulars attend as well.
I have moved onto Project 1999, cannot bring myself to play this game or give SONY anymore of my business.
