The Diplomacy Tutorial Quests are your introduction to Diplomacy in the world of Telon.
They will teach you how to Parley and provide you with your initial deck of cards to play; give you a set of Diplomacy Gear that you can wear to look good and give you some initial Diplomatic Presence; and tell you a lot of Lore relating to your Race and the part of Telon that you started in.
The Diplomat's Saga are a quest chain for low level diplomats that provide a lot of xp, cards and gear to get you started.

Racial Differences
When it comes to Diplomacy in Telon, every Race is different. This is because each Race is classified according to a particular Racial Expression and as a consequence the initial deck of cards you will have after you have completed the Diplomacy Tutorial Quests will be strong in that Expression and weaker in others. The citizens of the city you start in will also be strong in this same Expression. All of the Diplomacy Tutorial Quests you do are tailored to your strengths and weaknesses.
When you visit other cities and outposts to do general Diplomacy Quests and engage in Civic Diplomacy, you will encounter Parleys that are difficult if not impossible for you to win. This may happen because the Parley completely blocks out your Racial Expression or because the NPC supplies you very little Expression that you can use. Once you start doing the general Diplomacy Quests you will be rewarded with extra cards for your deck that will help you win these more difficult Parleys.

These are quests in the Web Series in Qalia

The threads start in four different locations, and merge at the third and forth quests. At the end of each thread, you will be directed to the other three quest starters. The quest A Finer Suit is only offered once you have completed all four threads and combines the four suits into one.
These quests are meant to be done one line at a time. Taking multiple quests in order to be "efficient" will only result in having to petition a GM to reset your quest counter.

Rewards and Final Combined Suit
When you complete each quest, you will receive an item that has either Crafter, Clergy, Noble or Outsider presence on it. For each quest line, you should select the same type of presence for your reward, i.e. for the Khal line always take Noble then for the Lomshir line always take Crafter etc. This way, when you have completed all four lines, you will end up with four complete suits. At the completion of A Finer Suit, you can turn all four sets in for a set that combines all 4 presence rewards on a single item.
It is possible to take the same reward twice, so that you double up on one item and are missing another. If you do this, you can trade in the duplicate for the one you need when you visit Weaver Jekaqie to turn in A Finer Suit. See the quest page for descriptions of reward items.

Thestran Web Quests


These are quests in the Web Series in Thestra.
The threads start in four different locations, and merge at the third and forth quests. At the end of each thread, you will be directed to the other three quest starters. The final quest is only offered once you have completed all four threads and combines the four suits into one.

These quests are meant to be done one line at a time. Taking multiple quests in order to be "efficient" will only result in having to petition a GM to reset your quest counter.

At the end of each quest string, you are sent back to the starting city, and referred to the other cities via quests: The Human Issue (Referral to Tursh), The Western Mountains (Referral to Bordinar's Cleft), The Forest Home (Referral to Leth Nurae), and The Frozen East (Referral to Halgarad).

Once you've completed all four lines, you should have 24 different pieces of gear, 6 academic, 6 domestic, 6 outsider, and 6 soldier. It is recommended that while doing these quests, you choose them in order so that you can easily keep track of what you have.
Before heading back to give your final report, you're allowed a quest that sends you to an NPC located in New Targnor very close to Jan. There are banks in just about every house quarter, so there is no need to carry all of that gear around with you. Once you receive the quest, go to a bank, get all 24 peices of gear, then head to this NPC. He will make you a singular suit with the stats of all 24 peices. (Interwoven Threads)

Diplomatic Mount Quests


Tier 1 Diplomatic Mount quests are available as part of the conclusion of all Racial Diplomatic Tutorial Quest Arcs. Level requirement is 4, presence is 5 in multiple stations (if any is required at all). If you are coming from the Isle of Dawn, be aware that you can only do the Diplomatic Mount quest for your racial starting area. The "Diplomatic Saga:" quests listed below are in addition to the racial starting quests and are designed for those coming from the Isle of Dawn.

Tier 2 Diplomatic Mount quests are available on each continent. Level requirment is 20, presence requirement is 230 in multiple stations. You will also need your Tier 1 Diplomatic Mount (which can be obtained for no cost from the initial quest giver if you have deleted it or if you fail to complete the initial quest in the time alloted). The primary quest has a time limit of 90 minutes. Side quests for Saddle bags, horseshoes and tack are given from the various NPCs that you parley - you may decline these if you wish. Each primary quest giver will give their quest again so that you may obtain and complete the side quests at your leisure. *You may only do the Quests of one continent.

Tier 3/4/5 ?

Diplomatic Mount Upgrading Items Vanguard Build 2190 brought in "consumable" books that will allow for the upgrading of the Diplomatic Mounts. The Courier Horse Basic Training Manual and the Courier Horse Advanced Training Manual can be gained from parleys of various levels. Reading (right clicking) these books will upgrade the respective horse to either a Matured Courier Horse or a Trained Courier Horse.
