So, you would like to help add information to this Wiki but don't know how. Welcome to the "How to help" page. The goal here is to explain how other players of Vanguard can help speed up the collection of these pages. There are a couple ways you can help:

*NOTE* Please do NOT upload screen shots from in-game. If you cannot crop the photos, email them to me and I will crop them and then upload them. (see the EMAIL SCREEN SHOTS section on this page for information)

JOIN AND POST: If you have some knowledge of how to work on web pages (no templates, just edit, add, save) then feel free to join the site and begin editing pages. Here is a step by step on how to post your information-

  1. Collect screen shot of recipe (as shown while at a crafting table) or outcome of the recipe.
  2. Using photoshop or paintshop (or a similar program) crop the recipe or outcome as a photo of its own and save it as a .jpg file and save it on your PC
  3. Log in to the site and go to the crafter type that the recipe can be obtained by (please list each recipe that is obtainable by the specific crafter on their respective pages. Even if it is a recipe that can be obtained by another crafter of the same style. Ex: Weakened Wood Board can be obtained by both the Artificer and the Mineralogist, so please put a link from both recipe list pages to the single recipe.)
  4. If the recipe does not already exist on the site, please click the "New Page" button that can be found at the top of the navigation bar to the left. Name the page according to the recipe name (Ex: Barbed Wood Board).
  5. Once on the new page (you will already be in "edit" mode), erase the existing text and replace it with the photo of the recipe. If you have outcomes to post to a recipe page, please place the outcomes (along with the items used to create the outcome, Ex: Resonating Dust of the Assassin) below the recipe photo. If the page already exists, just navigate to the page and click the "Edit" button found in the upper right corner of the text box. Once in edit mode, please post your photo by clicking the "File" button and uploading it, then choose it from the "file" box and it will place the photo onto the page. Please make sure that your photo is in the proper placement on the screen (if the page is broken into sections already).
  6. Click the "Save" button on the far right of the editor bar at the top of the screen.

UPLOAD PHOTOS:
If you do not want to mess with editing the pages themselves, but wish to provide photos of recipes or outcomes, please go to any page and click "Edit". Once the editor box appears at the top of the screen, click the "File" button and upload your photo. Once uploaded, click "Cancel" on the editor bar. (*NOTE* If you upload photos but do not place them on the site, please leave me a message either here or at beau16232@yahoo.com and let me know what photos you uploaded. I will them log in and add them to the pages required)

EMAIL SCREEN SHOTS:
If you do not wish to take the time to crop the photos and post them on the site yourself, you can email the screenshots to beau16232@yahoo.com and I will take care of them from there. When you email them, if they are shots of outcomes, please include in the email body what recipe was used to create the item and what items (such as dusts and powders) were used to create the item.

This is a very large project and will take some time to collect all possible outcomes. Any help on collecting the information is welcomed and appreciated not only by myself, but by the crafters or players that are seeking specific crafted items. If you have any questions and wish to speak to me directly, you can either email me at beau16232@yahoo.com or find me in-game on Hecatoncheir. Thanks again for your interest and support of this project.
